Abortion Recovery Anonymous - St. Louis Area
Mission Statement
We seek to:
Assist women, broken from
abortion, to find freedom and healing from our gracious Heavenly Father
Provide a safe environment where all are allowed to be honest and share
Create an atmosphere of unconditional love, where what we have done is
separated from who we are.
Offer Bible studies that encourage lasting friendships
Provide other practical resources
Statement of Faith
We believe:
The Bible is God's Word in
written form, useful for teaching, correcting and training us. (2 Tim.
3:16)
Jesus Christ is God's one and only son, fully man and fully God.
(John 1:14)
He was born of a virgin (Luke 1:26-38) and lived a sinless life.
(Heb. 4:15)
Jesus died on a cross as the payment for our sins and He rose from
the dead. (Acts 2:23-24)
The only way to be saved and to enter Heaven is by admitting our
sin, believing in Jesus Christ and confessing your belief out loud.
(Rom. 10:9-10)
Vision
To see at least two women
go forward from each "Save
One Bible Study" and lead another group of hurting women to
find healing in Jesus Christ.
Also, for these women
to continue to grow in faith
by attending follow-up Bible Studies (Beth Moore, etc.) and support
groups (Celebrate Recovery, etc.).
By helping women, families
will be strengthened as they are shown the love of God. In the
process,
lives will be changed and entire families will come to know
Jesus Christ as Lord.
